Oh, hello! How are you?
Good, good, glad to hear it.
Yeah, I'm fine thanks...
Anyway, I was thinking this morning we're long overdue giveaway, and as I sat here stitching a whole crew of Captain Fishcake brooches I began to wonder what his first name could be, and what his best ever catch was.
SO. What do you reckon?
To enter, comment on this blog post, with what his name might be and his best catch.

clearly his name would be 'freddie fishcake' and his best catch was a big cod! :)
I think his name is roger and his biggest catch was crabton the crab in 1986 but he let him go due to a arguement over a mermaid! X
Barney 'Barnacle' Fishcake! The name of his best catch? Why its Mrs Fishcake, of course ;-)
I personally think he looks like a rather respectable Captain Archibald Von Fishcake the III & his most impressive catch was a 12 foot Atlantic Blue Marlin which he caught off the coast of Cape Cod a few years back. That was his most impressive catch however he claims that he spotted the rare & elusive Giant Squid off the coastal shores of Australia. Unfortunately he was alone in the sighting & no one believes him (he's partial to a tipple of Rum from time to time!) & although he doesn't have any evidence of his sighting he remains adament to this day!
Captain Nemo Fishcake!
and his best catch was a sea-slug! xx
Captain Phillet O'Fishcake and his best catch was captain birdeyes swag cos it's only the best that'll do for the captain table.
I think his name is probably mr Captain McFishStitch, and he caught a polka dot octopus once but his best catch was a mermaid because they fell in love and they live happilly ever after with lots of mcFishStitchedMerBabies on his magic hand stitched boat.
His name is Cap'n Martin (I have this Doc Martin feel about him) and his best catch was a seagull because his line casting went too high...
Captain Llewellyn Fishcake likes to eat chips with his best catch Narwhal Dave. When fishing off the coast of Namboombu Dave accidentally got caught in Captain fishcakes net. Dave was hauled on board Captain Fishcake's boat but as he's a dapper sort of chap instead of kicking up a fuss he simply said " excuse me good sir i'm awfully parched, do you have any Pimms?". Since then they have enjoyed many a glass of Pimms followed by a swordfight and a jolly good laugh.
The Mighty Captain Seamus Cod and he best catch was a "cold" in the unforgettable hot summer of 1976
AHOY THERE ME HEARTIES!! I almost forgot to announce the winner of the Captain Fishcake competition... the winning entry is Nicola's:
